Geetha Poduval
Geeta Poduval (born November 10) is an actress, professional stage and TV anchor and a motivational speaker. She is an ex CAG senior officer. The two notable films to her credit are Sukumarji’s ''Kandethal'' (Malyalam) and Madhu Kaithapram's ''Vellivelichathil'' (Malyalam). The third film Dirty Game (Hindi) is under post-production.
==Early Life and Background==
Born in Ahmedabad in a middle class Malayali family, Geeta is a determined, independent and self-made lady. At a very early stage of her life she joined CAG and given the first opportunity, cleared the internal Officer's Grade examination. During this time she handled many Audits including the prestigious UN Audit in Western Africa. She passionately served the organisation for twenty years until her voluntary retirement in 2014 as Senior Audit Officer, a gazetted post.
Being a gifted and multi-talented person, Geeta parallelly pursued her singing, classical dancing and acting interests. She trained herself as an astute Bharatnatyam dancer. She was one of the singers in an orchestra called Lakhia Brothers in Gujarat. While in the service, she participated in one of the most popular Talent Shows on Amrita TV. The success and recognitions propelled Geeta to take up various anchoring and acting projects. Today Geeta is a well-known name for anchoring big events and compering live shows. With a desire to share her vast and varied experience, Geeta also contributed by writing short stories and articles for leading magazines like Femina and Woman’s Era. She conducted motivational Talk sessions and training programs for government organisations, PSUs and Corporate houses.
